The holiday season can be especially difficult for those who have lost a loved one. 😞

Holidays are filled with family gatherings, activities, traditions, and memories. Everything is supposed to be merry and bright. 🌟

But the absence of a loved one during this time of togetherness may only serve to magnify one’s loss, leading to deeper sadness and feelings of loneliness. 😢

For children, the holiday season can be particularly difficult and even be confusing following the loss of a loved one. In addition to dealing with their own grief, they may not know how to navigate the grief they witness and sense from adults. They are also still likely to feel some of the excitement of the holidays, despite their grief, which could cause additional feelings of guilt or shame. 😔

And so, one of our newest neighbors is here to help little ones remember that they can heal and find comfort throughout the holidays, while in the process, also helping adults who are struggling with grief and loss. 💓

Children’s author Maggie Grinnell joins our John Masiulionis for Episode #98 of The Empowered Publicity Children’s Books Spotlight Series to share her inspiring story, the release of her new children’s book, Isabella And Penelope, how to better understand grief amid the current climate, tips to help children navigate through grief during the holiday season, how journaling can help the grieving process, plus much more on the next trolley stop of Empowered Publicity’s holiday season celebration. 🙏🏻

We encourage all of you to support Maggie by purchasing your copy of Isabella And Penelope, and enjoying this empowering read with your little ones! https://amzn.to/3od1rdZ. 📖
