There’s something about the joy that children are able to bring to the world that makes our hearts melt. They are like little bundles of happiness who brighten our day with their innocence and laughter. 👧👦🙂

But, sometimes, joy is a thing lost on children. Most of our current world fails to repay the joy they bring, forcing many of them to learn to find it where it’s not so easy to be found. 😔💔

In a world that is full of so much hurt and misery, it is important that we teach our children that joy can be found anywhere. When kids are happy, they tend to do better in school, have healthier relationships, and are more resilient when faced with challenges. It is an essential part of growing up and helps children develop into well-rounded, compassionate adults. 🤵‍♀️🤵‍♂️

And so, one of our neighbors is here to share his brand new illustrated book written by His Holiness The Dalai Lama & Archbishop Deamond Tutu called, The Little Book of Joy— a book that reminds us that joy is everywhere, if we know where to look.

Internationally recognized illustrator and artist Rafael López joins our John Masiulionis for Episode #163 of PR From The Heart’s Children’s Books Spotlight Series to talk about what helped him to keep pursuing his dream as an artist, his experience working with two renowned religious leaders, how he creates magical illustrations that build connection to readers, and how we can find joy in our lives despite the challenges we face.

We encourage you, our fellow neighbors, to support  Rafael, as well as His Holiness The Dalai Lama & Archbishop Deamond Tutu, by purchasing your copy of The Little Book of Joy, and enjoying this empowering read with your little ones: https://bit.ly/3Gx7YN9 📖
