We tend to think that bullying is something that only happens to kids. But as we get older, we have to deal with the reality that it does happen to us too. 😢

Bullying is an awful experience, and it’s never okay for anyone to undergo such injustice, especially our children. 😞

Bullying is not just about another person being a jerk. It has long-term effects on our little ones, including depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, lowered academic performance, and even social isolation. 😔

Bullies come in many shapes and forms during childhood and adolescent years. Therefore, it’s up to us to provide a strong support system for them, a secure refuge that they can turn to at any time. 👪👪🏿 👩🏽‍👨🏽‍👦🏽

And most importantly, we have to do our part to teach our children how to stand up for themselves, to ensure that they will be just fine, even if we’re not around. 🙏🏻

And so, one of our fellow neighbors is here to help our youth remember that they have the power to beat a bully without a being a bully themselves and overcome peer pressure and the challenges that personal differences bring. 🦸🏻🦸🏽🦸🏿
